Katalyst, CMCS sign media study deal

Centre for Media and Communication Studies (CMCS) on May 26, 2010 signed a contract with Katalyst, a multi-donor funding initiative run by Swisscontact and GTZ-IS, on conducting a study to assess the impacts of its five media projects. Under the deal, CMCS is to assess the impacts of two Katalyst interventions in western Jessore district, where capacities of two local media houses and journalists were built for increasing reporting on local business issues and sectors. CMCS will also assess the impacts of developing and introducing SME-focused business programs by two national TV channels and a private production house. More
