CMCS, TVE sign deal to promote global film contest
Centre for Media and Communication Studies (CMCS) signed a contract with the TVE, a London-based international organization, on October 4, 2011 to promote its tvebiomovies 2011 global film competition.
CMCS Chairman Sohel Manzur and TVE Executive Director Cheryl Campbell signed the deal on behalf of their respective organizations.
The agreement covers the promotion of the competition through media networks, social networking sites, and relevant contacts within Bangladesh and elsewhere.
Under the deal, CMCS will aim to encourage young filmmakers globally to submit film ideas via the competition website, www.tvebiomovies.org.
The final deadline for entries to the competition is 21 October 2011.
Films of ten finalists are supposed to be selected for uploading to TVE’s YouTube site on 30 November 2011.
Under the deal, CMCS will assist TVE in driving internet traffic to the site to view the final 10 films.
TVE is a collective name for the Television for the Environment and the Television Trust for the Environment.
